HOW WE STARTED
The Electric Storage Company, founded by Anne Marie and Eddie McGoldrick in 2017 in Northern Ireland with the dream of providing cheaper, smarter and greener electricity to everyone by offering customers access and control over their energy.
THE JOURNEY SO FAR
The Lightbulb Moment
Whilst attending Havard Business school Eddie McGoldrick has the idea of Energy Management as a service.
Small Beginnings
Eddie and wife Anne Marie McGoldrick begin trading as PowerOn technologies and The Electric Storage Company is born in Cushendall, Northern Ireland.
Project Girona
Project Girona involved 60 properties, which in turn saved almost £27,000 in energy costs. As a pilot project, this indicates that if the same solar panel and battery storage smart solution provided by The Electric Storage Company was applied to 1000 new homes that it would generate 2.8GWh of green energy, worth £625,000 and importantly reduce carbon emissions by 667 tonnes in one year.
The Move to Belfast
As The Electric Storage Company grew, the team grew and moved to an area where FinTech and Big Data was thriving. Belfast, Northern Ireland.

The Electric Storage Company help Northern Ireland Electricity Networks provide Network Flexibility with the help of the PARIS platform.
Our mission AND PURPOSE
Decarbonise
An optimised and integrated renewable energy solution will assist in reducing CO2 and with the journey to achieving net zero. Our smart software, PARIS, does just that. PARIS provides insights into carbon reduction which facilitates easy tracking and KPI reporting.
Decentralise
Our solutions are designed to increase energy self-sufficiency and control. A decision engine within PARIS will automatically determine the most effective way to use energy within the home or premises.
Digitalise
Through advanced data analytics and monitoring of energy generation and consumption, PARIS will automatically provide predictability and control to assist smarter use of energy within each home or business, reducing energy costs and CO2.
Democratise
Access and choice – we enable our customers to choose and effectively integrate renewable energy within their homes and premises – our industry leading software PARIS, optimises the value of each unit of electricity used.
